In November 2017, we opened the doors to The ATTIC, our dedicated training area for the Manchester climbing scene! Read below for the details of the renovation that took part, nearly 2.5yrs ago! How time flies…

The ATTIC, Manchester Climbing Centre’s brand new training facility is now open!

Original post 25th Nov’17

Over the last few months we have been working hard converting the top bouldering room into a dedicated training facility. Our mission was to bring together all of the various equipment we had around the centre, put it all in one user friendly, comfortable and functional space that reaches the highest standards today’s climbers expect.

The ATTIC includes:

  • Hardwood Holds 30 degree board
  • Full height campus board
  • Circuit board
  • 4 Beastmaker fingerboards
  • 12mm, 10mm, 8mm dead hang edges
  • Pull up and core scaffold area
  • Unique PROJECT CAVE

Another massive consideration for us was to be the first training area in Manchester that is truly accessible. All the equipment in the ATTIC has entry level capability and loads of tricks for progression. The ATTIC is an excellent place to train whatever level you climb at. We are also offering simple and cost effective ways to access coaching. Whether its ideas for training structure, what to do on a circuit board, campus technique or simply how to progress into doing pull ups; come and ask our staff at the desk about private and group coaching or click here for more info.
