North West Champion and The Winter Bouldering League comes to an end.

March 16, 2010 news No Comments

On the 13th of March MCC Youth Academy climber Jennifer Woods won the final round of the BMC Youth series regional qualifications. This was her second straight win in the series and means that Jen will enter into the National Final as Champion of the North West. Jen has been training hard in the Youth Academy in preparation for these competitions and her victory is well deserved. She has also been experiencing success here in the centre, and has recently finished a close second in our Winter Bouldering league. Congratulations Jen, keep up the good work.

The Youth Academy has been out in force recently and a special mention must go to Luke Thomas who finished his first series in a very respectable 5th position, and Michelle Murray who’s first effort at the BMC Youth Series resulted in her finishing 9th after only attending two events. Well done guys, and well done to all the other Academy climbers who entered this competition and our Winter Bouldering League.

The Winter Bouldering League comes to an end.

Carrying on with the competition theme, as mentioned above our Winter Bouldering league has sadly come to an end. This year’s series has been another fantastic success, with some of the countries best climbers coming to show off their talents. As many of you will know the event this year carried a very impressive prize for the winners of the senior Male and Female categories. Our congratulations go out to James Garden and Shauna Coxsey who walked away with £1000 each for all their hard work. A full listing of the results and winners will be uploaded to our website shortly. Congratulations to everyone else who took part, we hope you enjoyed it as much as we did.
