The Single Pitch Award (SPA) is for people who wish to supervise groups top roping on indoor walls and outdoor crags. The course is run in two parts, training and assessment, each over two days. Before attending a training course you must register with MLTUK (www.mltuk.org) and be an active climber over 18 years of age. We also do a refresher course covering all aspects of the SPA syllabus. All MCC’s outdoor courses include equipment, instruction and VAT. It is important that you read the recommended clothing list.
This course will be run with a minimum of four people. Insufficient uptake may result in the cancellation of the course. Courses are based at MCC, and will make use of crags in Lancashire, Yorkshire and the Peak District.
