Outdoor Courses

CNV00006Our outdoor courses are designed to give you the skills and confidence to climb safely outdoors. We offer a range of courses covering basic movement on rock, through practical rope work, to technique masterclasses. Whatever grade you are climbing at, we will give you instruction that will help you improve and always ensure you climb safely outdoors.

All MCC’s outdoor courses include equipment, instruction and VAT. It is important that you read the recommended clothing list before coming on any outdoor course.

The meeting point for all courses will be MCC at 9:00am. As transport is not provided, car-sharing is recommended and we will help in arranging this if possible.

Food is not provided with any of these courses. Please bring a packed lunch, as the venues may be quite remote.

There are outdoor courses for everyone. If you’ve never climbed outdoors before, the Resin to Rock course is the day out for you. If you want to bring your kids, the Family Crag Day is a great introduction to the outdoors.

If you have some experience and want to become a more independent outdoor climber, the Outdoor Skills weekend, or one of our outdoor leading courses may be right for you.

Check out the drop-down Courses and Activities menu at the top of the page for a full list!
