Bouldering

IMG_0775

We have two dedicated bouldering areas and a traversing room at the centre, so there is plenty to do even if you don’t fancy taking to the ropes. We have recently refurbished our main downstairs bouldering area, replacing our old resin wall with brand new plywood angles, and repainting the lot! This has given us more space, with more problems, to keep you bouldering longer! We will be working on all of our bouldering and traversing areas over the coming weeks, so keep your eyes peeled for developments.

Bouldering is a great way to develop your climbing technique and strength. Bouldering is done on low walls protected by crash mats, and the climbs

on these walls (known as Problems) are made up manly of powerful, dynamic moves. The walls are made up of a wide range of interesting angles, from shallow slabs to horizontal roofs.

Bouldering is accessible to everyone and you don’t need any previous experience to come down and have a go. Problems range from very easy to World Cup standard, so there really is something for everyone!

Anyone from the age of 5 can come and have a go at bouldering, but under 18’s must be accompanied by an adult unless they hold a Blue, Green or Yellow Card.
