Manchester Kids Climbing Clubs
Manchester Climbing Centre has lots on offer to Manchester kids all year round! NICAS (National Indoor Climbing Achievement Scheme) courses are give you the chance to gain certificates in a series of fun sessions. These courses coincide as much as possible with school terms and holidays. We believe this structured approach enables us to offer a fulfilling and productive session while still keeping a fun and light-hearted approach.
Alongside these courses, Manchester Climbing Centre also run some casual kids’ sessions. These cater for those that are unable to commit to a course, don’t focus on the NICAS scheme, but they are a great way to get climbing in a fun environment. All courses or casual sessions require pre-booking due to limited places
Our Manchester kids’ clubs are delivered as follows:
Little Monkeys- Sessions – 5 and 6 year olds, Getting young children having a go and gaining some basic climbing skills in a fun environment.
Rock-Its- Sessions – 7 to 11 years olds. Either working towards NICAS in 6 week courses or attending occasional casual sessions
Hang Time- Sessions – 11 to 17 year olds. Either working towards NICAS in 6 week courses or attending occasional casual sessions

Little Monkeys
Ages 5 & 6
Saturday 10.00-11.00
Sunday 10.00-11.00
These are casual sessions bookable each week. £8 per head, per session.
Rock-Its
Ages 7 to 11
NICAS courses are 6 weeks long, starting on the below dates:
NICAS Level One
Saturday 10.00-11.30 (7th Jan 2012)
Sunday 10.00-11.30 (8th Jan 2012)
NICAS Level Two/Three (Climbers must have already completed Level One)
Saturday 12.00-1.30 (7th Jan 2012)
Sunday 12.00-1.30 (8th Jan 2012)
Tuesday 5.00-6.30 (10 Jan 2012)
Cost is £60 per head for the whole course. For climbers not already registered on the NICAS scheme, the registration and logbook fee is £4.00 for Levels One and Two, and £7.50 for Levels Three to Five.
Casual Rock-It’s sessions will also be available on Saturdays and Sundays 10.00am-11.30am & on Thursdays 5.00pm-6.30pm. £11 per head, per session.
Hang Time
Ages 11 to 17
NICAS courses are 6 weeks long, starting on the below dates:
NICAS Level Two/Three (Climbers must have already completed Level One)
Monday 6.30-8.00
Friday 6.30-8.00
Cost is £60 per head for the whole course. For climbers not already registered on the NICAS scheme, the registration and logbook fee is £4.00 for Levels One and Two, and £7.00 for Levels Three to Five.
Casual Hang Time sessions will also be available on Mondays and Fridays 6.30-8.00. £11 per head, per session.
