There’s lot’s going on here at MCC this March, Check out the two events detailed below to give you a taste of what’s coming up.
Route Setting Rescue and Rope-work
On the 17th and 18th March MCC will be hosting a route setting workshop.
This two day course is ideal for anyone looking to become a route setter or simply looking to keep up to date with all the current best practice in the world of route setting.
The Course is run by Nate McMullan who, holds the Mountaineering Instructor Award qualification (full AMI member) and is considered a technical expert in the field of rock climbing, additionally he is the national trainer and assessor of the RS2 Route-setting qualification, is IRATA qualified, certified to install, test and inspect fall arrest anchors and has worked in the outdoor adventure industry for over 15 years.

Boulder Manchester:
On the 16th March we will be holding our final round of this year’s Boulder Manchester Competition.
It’s your last chance to rack up those valuable points before we announce the winners at the end of the night.
The round will take the same format as the others, with thirty boulder problems from V0 to V8+, just to make sure that there is something for everyone in this friendly bouldering competition.
So come on down and test yourself, make new friends and be in with a chance of winning some great prizes, not to mention the chance to of walking away with £50 cash, courtesy of the Cash Prize Problem set by legendary climber and owner of Manchester Climbing Centre, John Dunne.
