Andy and Gareth have just been helping David Hurst
raise money for Children of Chernobyl, by abseiling of Bolton’s towering Threlfall chimney on Salop St. Bolton.

The chimney was part of David’s Great-Grandfather’s factory making components for Manchester’s Mills during the industrial revolution, now disused, David thought it could be  brought back into use for this good cause.

Helped by John Warburton’s Steeplejacks of Blackburn, Andy and Gareth rigged the abseil ready for David’s costume clad descent of the tower.

Keep your eyes peeled in the Manchester & Bolton Evening Newspapers for pics and write up’s on the event!

If you would like to contribute to the Children of Chernobyl Charity, you can do so via David’s Just Giving page at www.justgiving.com/davidhurst3
