The operating procedures of our centres are overseen by a Technical Advisor. This includes the development of courses, staff training and the procedures we use to look after our customers, staff and equipment.
This role is undertaken by Nathaniel McMullan, Managing Director of Crookes Climbing Services.
Mr McMullan holds the Mountaineering Instructor Award qualification (full AMI member) and is considered a technical expert in the field of rock climbing, additionally he is the national trainer and assessor of the RS2 Route-setting qualification, is IRATA qualified, certified to install, test and inspect fall arrest anchors and has worked in the outdoor adventure industry for over 15 years. He has experience building climbing walls of all sizes both in ply-wood and of fibre glass, has route-set commercially, completed over 200 detailed ACS safety inspections and acts as technical advisor for a number of climbing facilities.
