We’ve got loads of great route setting planned over the coming month.

Just to give you all an idea of the resulting wall closures, but mainly to get everyone as excited as we are, here’s a break down of route
setting in May!
To start the month we’ll be giving the back green slabs some special attention, so you can expect lots of beginner friendly
routes up the slab, and also some
technical face climbs on the flat lead lines. We may even throw in some challenging corner routes for all you traditionalist! Expect some wall closures on the
3rd and the 8th.

Next on the list is the impressive main wall, over two days we’ll be setting routes ranging in grade from 5+ right up to 8a, lots of great routes up our tallest and steepest wall, ideal for anyone wanting stamina training before the lime stone season truly kicks off. The main wall will therefore be closed on the 10th and the 11th during the day time.

We then move across the hall to the lead slabs, where again we’ll be catering for the beginner leaders with some juggy routes around the 5+/6a range, but don’t think we’d forgot all of you technical masters. We’re sure to keep everyone happy with some technical slate-esque routes to test your balance and your nerve. Setting is expected on the 14th.

Finally we head left onto the 15 meter walls, where the options are massive; we’ve got high exposure arêtes, consistent angle stamina walls and also technical face climbing on our single stepped wall. We’ll be working hard on the 21st and 22nd during the daytime.

Add to that we’ve just reset both our bouldering walls and there’s plenty to look forward to in May!
